Now Hiring Research Assistant Professor - Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine
The Social Environment and Health Lab (https://sites.northwestern.edu/socenvhealth/) in the Department of Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine is seeking an experienced health scientist with a flair for writing to join our team as a Research Assistant Professor. In this role, you will play a crucial part in communicating our research findings to a wide audience, including fellow scientists, policymakers, and the general public. As part of the team, you will closely collaborate with Dr. Kiarri Kershaw on manuscript preparation for research projects related to stress reactivity and its impact on health disparities in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD). You will also have the opportunity to work on diverse projects spanning maternal health, chronic conditions, social determinants of health, and more.
Successful applicants will have: (a) Ph.D. level training and research background in population health, with specific training in public health, sociology, health psychology, or a related field; (b) Expertise in population health research methods, study design, and statistical analysis; (c) Proven track record of scientific writing, with a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
In collaboration with Dr. Kershaw and other research faculty, the Research Assistant Professor would be required to assist with and eventually lead peer-reviewed publications as well as proposals for external funding.
